Have you checked out the Ikea Hacker site? It’s great. We’ve become quite familiar with Ikea not because of the Swedish meatballs (ew!) but because we live in an old house with little to no storage. We are thus a customer at Ikea from time to time. Ikea Hacker often has great ideas for customizing stuff from Ikea. We’ve done that on a couple occasions, such as tweaking a closet to “fit” with our old craftsmen wood work, etc. Anyways, we were at Ikea a couple weeks ago, trying to get some ideas for storage. While we were there, we found ourselves in their ‘dents and dings’ section. Brooke got the great idea of using cabinet doors and shelves as canvases for our work. We’re always looking for ways to re-use materials and it was the right price! Here are a few of the pieces we created using Ikea cabinet doors and shelves.
